AT&T Opens New Wireless Store in Allentown
Published: 26 January, 2008
In response to the growing customer demand for the company's exclusive wireless products and services, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced today the opening of a new AT&T-owned wireless store in Allentown. This brings the total number of AT&T retail stores in Allentown/Lehigh Valley to seven.
Located at 4025 W. Tilghman St., the store offers the latest wireless devices, including music- and video-capable phones and data devices equipped with e-mail clients and must-have applications, such as Windows 6.0 for mobile.
The new store, led by wireless veteran Jay Kester, includes a staff of eight professional retail sales consultants, who are trained to assist any customer -- business or consumer -- with purchasing decisions, customer service and technical support. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday -- Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
With the addition of the Allentown store, AT&T now operates more than 90 company-owned stores across eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. In addition, AT&T's products and services are available in more than 100 authorized agent and national retail locations across the region. AT&T is also proud to be the official wireless provider of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
"We are looking forward to bringing the Allentown community the hottest wireless voice and data products, including the BlackJack(TM) II, LG Shine, BlackBerry(R) and, of course, the iPhone," said Kester. "Plus, we offer simple and easy-to-understand pricing for families on a budget. We have unlimited text messaging packages for students and plans designed to meet the unique needs of seniors."
Over the past three years, the company has invested nearly $500 million in its network to expand coverage, enhance capacity and grow its third-generation (3G) mobile broadband network in Allentown, as well as other areas of eastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
