Datacard Group Expands Operations in Asia Pacific

SINGAPORE -- Datacard Group, the world leader in secure ID and card personalization solutions, today announced the expansion of its business operations in Asia Pacific with several new positions in order to meet the continued international growth and success the company has been achieving the last 12 months.

Rajiv Singh has been appointed as the managing director for its South Asia operations. He will be based out of the Mumbai office and will have the responsibility to grow the business in that region. Singh comes from a strong background in banking and the software industry, and brings to Datacard Group a wealth of experience in key vertical markets in South Asia. Singh previously held senior positions in Diebold, Tata Communications, Computer Associates, and most recently, Mphasis.

Monica Lim has been named director, financial instant issuance, Asia Pacific, where she will be responsible for expanding the instant issuance market with major regional banks in the Asia Pacific region. Lim joined Datacard in 2007 as the regional director for ASEAN & Taiwan, and has over 15 years enterprise software sales experience in Asia. Her background includes working with vendors such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, and most recently, SAP.

Henry Chun, the regional director for Korea, will also be expanding his portfolio to include the ASEAN & Taiwan region. In his role, Chun will continue to manage the Korea market as well as focus on further growing and developing the ASEAN & Taiwan regions. Prior to joining Datacard in 2005, Chun held senior positions in Korea and Asia with Unisys and Octasoft Corporation.
