DUBLIN----IneoQuest Technologies, the global leader in video service assurance, announced today they will be participating in an industry panel discussion on the “Opportunities and Challenges of Multiscreen Video Delivery” at TM Forum’s Management World 2012 in Dublin, Ireland on May 22, 2012. The panel will be part of the Cable Summit at Management World 2012, which brings together leading cable MSOs to assess the latest communications technologies and trends in the delivery of Broadcast TV, VOD, SDV and OTT services in order to achieve growth in an increasingly competitive market.

During this panel session, several industry experts will provide their insight on the trends of multiscreen video and the opportunities and challenges associated with delivering video content to multiple connected devices. Tim Young, Editor-in-Chief of Pipeline magazine, will serve as the panel moderator. The panelists for the event include Celio DaCosta, Senior Director Field Technical Support at Comcast Cable, Jeff Cotrupe, Global Program Director at Stratecast | Frost & Sullivan, and Kirk George, Director of Marketing at IneoQuest.

“For over a decade, the focus of the cable industry has been to provide our customers with more video choices and new cutting edge products and services,” said Celio DaCosta. “A tremendous amount of energy and resources have been expended to make sure we meet the quality standards and reliability our customers deserve. The industry must now work together to ensure that the same care and dedication for video quality is delivered across all Internet video devices and services.”

“Broadcasters, as well as service and content providers, are now delivering video to millions of users through a patchwork of managed and unmanaged networks. As subscribers steadily increase their investments in video and TV, they understandably demand high-quality video —and in HD, video errors stand out like never before,” said Jeff Cotrupe. “IneoQuest’s video quality and service assurance solutions can help all members of the video delivery ecosystem address these and other challenges.”

“With the significant rise in video consumption over the Internet via smartphones, tablets and other connected devices, it is clear that delivering high-quality multiscreen and OTT video is essential to providers,” said Kirk George. “We are excited to participate in the Cable Summit at TM Forum’s Management World and bring together industry experts to speak about the necessity of video service assurance for multiscreen video. The topic of assuring service for multiscreen video is of the utmost importance as these solutions ultimately help improve customer experience and generate revenue for content and service providers.”

“Over the past few years, we've been watching as video has moved out of the living room and into the street,” said Tim Young. “End-users expect providers to meet them where they are, and to offer quality of experience in keeping with their ever-higher expectations. I look forward to sharing my insight on how video providers and operators can take advantage of this multiscreen video revolution.”

The “Opportunities and Challenges of Multiscreen Video Delivery” panel discussion will take place on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 5:00-5:40 PM at the Convention Centre Dublin in Dublin, Ireland.
