Jaspersoft, provider of the world's most widely used business intelligence (BI) software, today announced the general availability of Jasper for MySQL(TM) v3.5.


Jasper for MySQL is a high-performance interactive report server optimized for MySQL. The new Jasper for MySQL v3.5 incorporates all of the features and functions in Jaspersoft v3.5, which brings to market new, integrated analysis capabilities as well as the industry's first software-as-a-service-enabling (SaaS) BI platform. The new Jasper for MySQL v3.5 is specifically certified and packaged for Sun Microsystems' MySQL database and is available through MySQL's OEM channel.

ISVs and OEMs can cost effectively embed Jasper for MySQL into their applications, adding value to their solutions and giving users access to a complete reporting functionality. With Jasper for MySQL v3.5, MySQL users gain access to new in-memory analysis capabilities that seamlessly integrate into reports and dashboards. Jaspersoft v3.5 also eliminates the need for MySQL's OEM customers to "roll their own" BI functionality into solutions that require analysis and reporting.


Jaspersoft supports many of Sun's portfolio software products and platforms, including MySQL, NetBeans, Solaris and OpenSolaris 64-bit operating systems, GlassFish application server, CAPS and OpenESB middleware, and the Sun Identity Management application. Jaspersoft also partners with Sun's data warehouse partners including MySQL data storage engine providers Kickfire and Infobright, as well as Paraccel and GreenPlum. Jasper For MySQL is built on top of JasperReports, the 2007 Duke's Choice Award winner - and with iReport, the most downloaded NetBeans plug-in.
