Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) today announced the availability of the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for the BlackJack(TM), which is available in the U.S. exclusively from AT&T. BlackJack(TM) users can update their devices from Windows Mobile 5.0 to the new Windows Mobile 6.0 operating platform with a free desktop download available directly from Samsung.

A highly popular Windows Mobile smart device, the BlackJack(TM) is a robust, slim handset packed with the power and functionality desired by business customers and consumers alike. Windows Mobile 6 brings a powerful personal computer experience to the small screen, improving how people do business on the go on a single device. With the BlackJack(TM) and Windows Mobile 6, users can keep track of schedules and contacts through Outlook Mobile, browse the Internet, and manage Word and Excel documents and view PowerPoint documents using Office Mobile. Windows Mobile 6 also supports HTML e-mail so that people can view and compose e-mail messages in their original HTML format with live links to Web sites, support for images, tables and bullets.

With the BlackJack(TM), users can get rich entertainment features and powerful business applications turbo-charged by AT&T's 3G-enabled BroadbandConnect network in an ultra sleek design. Also included with the upgrade is software that gives BlackjackTM the capability to conduct Video Share calling. Users also can take their BlackJack(TM) with them abroad to access e-mail or browse the Web in more than 140 countries, and make or take a phone call in more than 195 countries -- the largest international footprint of any U.S. carrier. Additional features of the Samsung BlackJack(TM) include an MP3 player, 1.3 megapixel camera with video capture and sharing capabilities and Stereo Bluetooth(R) version 2.0 with stereo headset support.
