WarGames is a real-time strategy game based on the original motion picture. It is now 20 years after the movie. NORAD is now heavily relying on supercomputers for much of its defense work. In a top-secret project, the military supercomputer, the WOPR, has been re-programmed to create intelligent weaponry that will enable the military to take the human element out of war.The video game company, Protovision, is now used as a front for the military. You play the role of a Web-surfing gamer who breaks into the WOPR's military simulations through one of Protovision's games. You find that you have triggered a full-scale war against the WOPR's futuristic forces. As the simulations unfold, the future of the human forces is in your hands as you must stop the WOPR from resorting to nuclear weapons.Unlike many combat games, units can move and face in any direction, bringing a new level of realism to your troops. Every unit, building, and environment is created in complete 3D. Your battles will be fought in three dimensional landscapes which include six unique environments (alpine, jungle, desert, lowlands, pacific and urban), with dynamic real-time 3D weather effects such as snow, rain, and sand storms.(for Windows)
