Automatically search for and replace text in an entire directory of HTML pages. Update a range of files, search and replace text in folders and subfolders. Supports wildcards to include or exclude certain file types. The text that is found is presented in a preview window.

Use different file patterns to search for or exclude file types. You may search case sensitive or 'match whole words only' to narrow your search.

Search for bytes or special characters like tabs and line breaks to convert UNIX text to Windows text. Or trim the spaces from a database dump, for example, so that they don't interfere with HTML formatting.

Replace a string with the contents of a whole file. Server-side includes are easy to use, but once the site is complete, the unnecessary server overhead of parsing include files on every page request can be eliminated by replacing the one 'include....' line with the contents of the file itself. With the include file replacement of 12-Replace, and because 12-Replace works on the contents of directories and not just individual files, a site based on includes can be rendered static in minutes!
