3D-Audio is a three-dimensional spatial audio renderer that lets you model realistic spatial audio by animating sound sources in a virtual room. 3D Audio lets you create WAV sound files that convey true spatial audio placement. The software supports up to 99 multiple sound sources, and features accurate physics that can even surpass reality if desired. The wizard helps you create a 3D environment, in which you can place, view, animate and calculate your environment's sounds. Additional program functions give you the ability to place and animate a head in the scene which represents the listener in a virtual room, reflect sound waves from the walls up to a user defined level of recursion depth, generate and incorporate Doppler-shifts due to animated sound sources, and set the camera position view from the head's location or from one of the source locations to better visualize the process. The program also provides a plug-in interface allowing you to record motion paths from external devices such as a joystick, mouse or keyboard. Your high-end spatial audio files are best listened to with stereo headphones to fully appreciate them.
