Lets you reduce the size of images for publishing on the Web or for transfer by e-mail. Your image manipulation can be done visually, in one screen with no scrolling or multiple windows to manage. The program displays your before and after modification images side by side for comparison. The program's convenient sliders make it easy to adjust the sampling target area's pixel size and the size of your selection window. It can then be used in both scale mode, where the image's aspect ratio is maintained, and crop mode where you can select any target size. The additional image control sliders let you adjust the image's lightness to darkness and well as its smoothness to sharpness. A Smaller Image reads all popular image file formats and outputs to BMP, JPEG, and PNG formats. The program also supports additional options for JPEG quality factor and progressive settings.
