ActiveBook-2000 Client is a text-to-speech utility designed to give your PC a human-sounding voice when it reads any selected English text. The program lets you create multimedia books that are readable using Microsoft Agent technology and a built-in text-to-speech engine. You can record your own voice and attach it to any text, utilize the type-in-and-speak-out feature, and send any book using the built-in e-mail function. In addition, the program includes ten built-in books\; four speaking and animated characters\; 23 different voices, including man, woman, and robot\; a viewable speaking mouth\; and the ability to modify the volume and speed of any given speech.
