AVAST32 is a set of anti-virus utilities. It includes a resident scanner, a behavior blocker, and data integrity checking modules.The resident scanner can check for over 30,000 types of viruses, as well as polymorphic ones. It automatically checks a file before executing it and notifies the user of the presence of a known virus.The behavior blocker reports all attempts to modify or delete programs and other virus-like actions.The data integrity checking module registers the original attributes of specified files and stores the data on disk. During each subsequent run, file attributes are compared and the user is informed of detected changes.Other features include: customization options, the option to try to re-construct and recover infected files, and minimal false alarms.
