DateGuard 2000 ensures that your Windows 95/98 system Short Date format is 4-digit, Y2K compliant. To help maintain Y2K data integrity, DateGuard 2000 fixes the Windows 95/98 Short Date format used by many applications for making calculations, date stamping and data manipulation. DateGuard 2000 can check, every time your computer starts, that the Short Date format has not been changed to an unacceptable setting. It also has a password protect feature to make sure only authorized users can change the Short Date format. The program runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar.
