DirectParallel Connection Monitor (DPM) is a diagnostic utility which allows you to test and troubleshoot the Direct Cable Connection (DCC) feature in Windows. The program is designed to help you set up, configure, test, and explore your PC-to-PC Direct Cable Connections. It can display the problems (if any) with your DCC setup, and recommend possible solutions. DPM displays information about your computer and its parallel ports\; performs speed, data integrity, and endurance tests for DirectParallel cables\; includes a Direct Cable Connection wizard to finetune your DCC connections\; and features a real-time access to software statistics about your connection. In addition, DPM displays the possible data connection and transfer speeds, the parallel port type, the I/O modes, and the type of cable used for your connection.
