EmEditor Professional, a lightweight text editor for Windows, supports Unicode (UTF-16, UTF-8, and UTF-7), as well as many international encodings.

The text editor supports not only JavaScript and VBScript for the text editing macros, but also PerlScript, PHPScript, Python, Ruby, and many other ActiveScript languages as long as the script engines you want to use are installed on your system. Version 11 includes a markers feature that allows you highlight strings temporarily. The new Batch button in the Replace dialog extends the dialog box to include a list for multiple Find/Replace combinations with options.
