Encryption Plus CD-ROM provides a flexible and effective security solution for companies that store, publish, or distribute confidential information on CD-ROM media. Encryption Plus CD-ROM uses the Blowfish algorithm and a 192-bit encryption key. Encryption Plus CD-ROM allows you to choose from three different modes of end-user authentication. CD-ROM authentication enables users to access a protected CD-ROM on any workstation by entering a password set by the administrator. If the encrypted information is time-sensitive, passwords can be set to expire on a specific date. Workstation authentication adds an alternative method of protection that restricts access to specific authorized computers. Remote activation authentication uses a challenge-response methodology to remotely activate CD-ROMs on a workstation.
