IT?S EASY! Simply start HandyAvi then select the type of movie you want to make (Time-lapse, Motion-detect, meteor trail or Astronomy). Then use the control panel that comes up to set up and begin making your AVI movie.
SCIENCE: Time-lapse movies let you speed things up such as flowers opening up or clouds moving in the sky. See examples on http://www.azcendant.com. Time-lapse cameras used to be extremely expensive. Now you can make time-lapse movies inexpensively using a Webcam.
SECURITY AND SURVEILLANCE: Motion-detect movies let you leave out boring stuff. For example, you could point the webcam at your yard and instead of getting a really LONG movie showing your unchanging yard, you'd get a much shorter movie showing only the things that HAPPENED in your yard, such as a person, dog or cat walking through. If you were to point the camera at a bird feeder, the movie would only show the scenes where birds were present and moving about.
ASTRONOMY: You would usually take these types of movies through a telescope. Most webcams are sensitive enough to allow you to make images of the moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. There are user settings that allow you to take, for example, 100 frames every 10 minutes. This is handy for making movies of Mars, Jupiter or Saturn as they rotate.

MEADE TELESCOPE CONTROLS: HandyAvi contains a full set of Meade telescope controls so that both the webcam and the telescope can be controlled remotely. There is an automatic centering system that will drive the telescope and keep a planet centered in the image frame.
