Allows you to check the validity of IBANs (International Bank Account Numbers) and to generate such numbers from BBANs (Basic Bank Account Numbers). With the advent of IBANs on August 14, 1999, all international bank transfer numbers became quite long (up to 34 alphanumeric digits). Given their length, communicated IBANs can easily contain typos. This program can check the integrity of such a number. IBANs consist of two alphabetic characters (country code), a two-digit numerical checksum, and the BBAN (Basic Bank Account Number). The BBAN consists of a country code, a code consisting of numbers and/or alphabetic characters which are bank specific, and an ordinary bank account number. In addition, this program can generate the IBAN from any BBAN.
