Lightning Multimedia Accelerator is an intelligent disk cache utility that speeds up disk drive and CD-ROM drive access times under DOS and Windows 3.x. It works by copying frequently used information from any and all drives (CD-ROM, internal hard drive, external hard drive, floppies, etc.) and places it into RAM. It uses built-in intelligence to determine what information on the disk you are most likely to need next and moves that information into RAM. This creates a significant reduction in video and audio pauses. The program works with DOS, Windows and CD- ROM programs, caches only frequently used information, displays system performance statistics, and uses less than 20K of memory.
