Lodestar Database (Borland C/C++ Builder Client/Server Version) is a fast, non-relational database engine. Lodestar Database is network enabled, and has multi-user support. It comes with either a Novell server or an NT server with clients for Windows 95/98/2000 and Windows NT. Lodestar Database has libraries for Borland C++, Delphi, C++ Builder, and Visual Basic. Databases can be up to two gigabytes in size and can hold up to 268,435,455 records. The number of keys is limited only by database size, and there is no limit to the number of databases. Because records are transmitted over a network (or the Internet) in a compressed form, much more data can be transmitted than would normally be possible, making Internet access to a remote database a viable alternative.
