Lodestar Database (Borland C/C++ Builder Single User Version) is a fast, non-relational database engine. Lodestar Database has libraries for Borland C++, Delphi, C++ Builder, and Visual Basic. Lodestar Databases can be up to two gigabytes in size, and can hold up to 268,435,455 records. The number of keys is limited only by database size, and there is no limit to the number of databases. Because records are transmitted over the Internet in a compressed form, much more data can be transmitted than would normally be possible, making Internet access to a remote database a viable alternative.
