M.A.X. 2 is a strategy game that combines both real-time and turn-based modes of play. The story picks up 15 years after the original M.A.X. game left off. The Concords, a group of friendly alien races and humans, are trying to force the renegade humans and their unlawful colonies off the planet. The game combines elements of space combat, exploitation, and resource management.M.A.X. 2 offers real-time game play with a pause feature, which gives you extra time to think about your next move. For example you can set the game to pause each time an enemy unit is spotted. It also offers simultaneous turn-based play.M.A.X. 2 features fully rendered, photorealistic 3D landscapes\; eight different clans with different abilities, a variety of units, an excellent A.I., and parallax scrolling (which allows terrain at lower altitudes to move slower than higher terrain when the map is scrolled).
