Materialize 3D! is a 3D model editor, viewer, and conversion utility. It can view, import and convert 3D Studio, AutoCAD, Direct3D, Persistence of Vision (POV) files. 3D Models can be rendered automatically in a real-time 3D environment using textures and specular lighting. Polygons can be processed with simple mouse operations. Polygon processing features include: the ability to calculate vertex normals, reverse polygon and texture ordering, project textures, and assign new materials. Models may be scaled, centered, and modified for a particular coordinate system regardless of their file format. For POV-Ray users, modems can be exported to the POV-Ray format complete with exact texture. 3D game programmers will find that Direct3D models can be imported easily and edited specifically for their virtual game environments.
