Network security tool. NetMinder Ethernet 5.0 includes an alert system complete with three levels of security and a variety of alert mechanisms -- email, pager, and SNMP trap notifications. Alerts are tripped when a rule is triggered by a network event. Rules are both unlimited and nameable. NetMinder's security features are based on Neon's powerful and extensible Packet Inference system. Packet Inference can detect security risks such as port scans, denial of service attempts, duplicate IP addresses, and worms such as the Code Red worm.
