Original War is a real-time strategy game with great importance placed on preserving human life. Original War finds you having traveled back 2,000,000 years to recover deposits of a mineral known as Siberite. However, the time machine you used had certain spatial and temporal scattering effects and as a result, you and your colleagues landed far away and far between. All the characters you have and all the characters you fight came through this machine. This means that there is no facility-- no barracks, no factory, no whatever --that can churn human units out for you. If your characters die, that's the end of it.The importance of characters is accented by the fact that most of your facilities need humans in order to work. Vehicles do not drive without drivers, factories do not work without workers, and bunkers do not shoot without soldiers. Your men have a set of four skills and they can have one of four professions. The profession can be changed inside certain buildings. Take a look at the values of skill, though, so that you know what it is he or she is best at.Original War features almost 40 single player missions in two campaigns with story-branching and multiple endings, plus dozens of multiplayer and skirmish maps. There are hundreds of vehicles, almost a hundred buildings, and more than seventy different technologies. Each side is unique, with unique strengths and weaknesses and the multi-branching storyline ensures that no two missions ever play the same.
