PCM/Estimator is a powerful parametric cost estimating program that allows you to quickly and easily generate high-quality project cost estimates based on custom parametric cost models. PCM/Estimator uses parametric cost estimating techniques recommended by NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense, and features an intuitive graphical interface that makes cost estimating fast and efficient. This software can be used for estimating engineering projects, product development, software development, and other traditionally difficult to estimate processes. As tasks are selected from a hierarchical tree (work breakdown structure), the necessary bid parameters are displayed. Labor rates can be imported and escalation is calculated automatically for material and other direct costs. PCM/Estimator also handles itemized travel expenses, records ground rules and assumptions, and allows manual cost entries for special cases such as when suppliers provide sub-tier bids. PCM/Estimator provides comprehensive summary and detail cost reports for a fully auditable cost proposal. It can export data to Microsoft Excel, Word and Project. It also lets you view costs graphically on a month by month spread for resource analysis.
