Planet-Share is a mail server and a proxy server which uses a single, non-dedicated machine to connect all users on a LAN to the Internet. Planet-Share lets many users on a LAN share the Internet at the same time. This is accopmlished with just one ISP connection (there is no need to possess additional telephone lines, modems, or routers). The main features include an automatic management of the telephone connection, a local cache mechanism, and a Web accelerator. Selective access to Internet resources, real time monitoring, and audit of Internet use are also supported.The mail server supports SMTP and POP3, and offers e-mail management and sorting, client mail accessibility from a browser, management of a LAN internal mail, and mailbox management of the mail domain.
