Reading Acceleration Machine (RAM) is a tachistoscope (rapid-viewer) that supports efficient and rhythmic reading, rehearsal of text-comprehension, and acceleration in reading speed. Reading Acceleration Machine (RAM) allows you to set the exact speed and the look of text that is flashed to your screen, line by line. RAM is designed to assist any kind of text-rehearsal. If you are trying to understand a foreign-language text more quickly, you can accelerate the speed in increments with simple controls. RAM's mechanism is not based on numbers of words as in other programs but on meaningful segments of text. This structure facilitates the act of comprehension. Other uses of RAM include text-memorization, text-proofing, and oral rehearsal.
