Rescue 911 is a utility for manually or automatically backing up your critical system files. The automatic backup option can be set to back up your system files each time you start your computer. The manual backup option lets you back up your system files with the single click of a button, which is useful prior to editing or updating your system registry. File restoration is done simply by selecting the restore button and choosing either the last automatic or manual backup. Rescue 911 can also create a bootable rescue disk that can automatically restore your system files in the event that Windows won't start or its files become corrupted. The rescue diskette will boot your system into a DOS menu which gives you the choice of automatically restoring your files from the last automatic or manual backup. System files that Rescue 911 automatically backs up include: SYSTEM.DAT, USER.DAT, MSDOS.SYS, SYSTEM.INI, WIN.INI, COMMAND.COM, ATTRIB.EXE, and AUTOEXEC.BAT.
