Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) is a Delphi implementation of the Secure Hash Algorithm. The 160-bit hash that is produced is cryptographically secure, meaning that the input cannot be calculated from the output. A common use of the algorithm is for securely storing passwords in a way that neither requires a time consuming encryption nor ever reveals the stored password.
