The InterCom System is an Active solution that lets you implement advanced network communication features into applications. The system is useful for developing any multi-user application that involves shared resources, such as network games and groupware. It can be used, for example, to update the display of records that have been modified by others, to generate lists of users currently using an application, or limit the number of running instances of your application on a network. The system consists of a main server and several ActiveX clients, with the clients providing notification, messaging, and inventory functions.
