Virtual Singer is a plug-in module for the Melody Assistant and Harmony Assistant music composition programs which puts voice synthesis to an innovative use. Virtual Singer generates voices that can sing lyrics and melodies in several languages. Virtual Singer integrates seamlessly into either the demo or full versions of the programs, and is displayed as a new window. The voices it creates aren't terribly realistic, but they're certainly good enough to give you an idea of what a melody would sound like if it were sung. Virtual Singer has the potential to be a valuable composition tool. It includes many useful features that allow you to tailor the vocal style to your own preferences. You can select from a variety of voices and styles, such as alto, tenor, and choral. You can also modify the timbre, intonation, and number of voices.
