WinZip Self-Extractor (32-bit) creates compressed, ZIP-compatible self-extracting EXE files which are ideal for electronic distribution and software installation. When a user clicks a self-extracting EXE ZIP file, they are presented with an optional icon and customizable message, a default "Unzip to&quot\; directory, and an optional command which runs after Unzip completes (such as INSTALL.EXE or SETUP.EXE). The user has much more control over the extraction and installation process than when using a DOS based self-extracting program such as ZIP2EXE from PKWARE. Self-extracting ZIP files are ZIP compatible and are only 12k larger than the original ZIP. This is especially useful when distributing software or sending files to someone who doesn't have an unzipping program such as Winzip.
