WipePro+ is a disk formatting and wiping utility which supports multiple hard disk types and floppy disk wiping routines. Simply formatting a disk does not completely or securely delete the information that was previously stored on it. The program only wipes free space on a disk, so you can safely use it on a disk that contains data. All that is cleared is the unused space. If you first format a disk and then choose to wipe it, Wipepro+ lets you perform a complete erasure of all data storage areas on the disk. Moreover, if you know the encoding scheme of your particular hard disk drive, the program can use this information to tailor a wipe sequence designed to thoroughly remove any stored data. In addition, you can wipe files, diskettes, hard disks, and swap files.
