XDB Engine is a database engine that can be also used as an universal data container. XDB Engine implements an object oriented database kernel that allows you to implement your own database look to any data in your applications. The interface hides any details of data storing and gives you an abstract object oriented model that is common for all supported data. XDB Engine can also be used as an universal data container. The drivers are not limited only to files, but can be used to implement file systems, network communications, or e-mail senders. It also allows you to store random bytes sequences as records' items and their length is limited only by the operating system.
