Enlarger Pro is a graphic processing software program developed by "Bearded Frog Software" whose aim is a very specific one - to enlarge your image files up to 1600% keeping a surprisingly good level of detail. To achieve that Enlarger Pro uses its own magnifying algorithms, which allow the program to reach very superior results to anything that standard enlargement tools or other existing methods can achieve. This program is distributed through the shareware distribution model and allows you to download a trial version which works without any temporal restrictions. However, it will insert one or more watermarks on all your enlarged photos (depending on their size) until you buy your own copy and register it. Every time you run it, you must choose if you want to stay using this trial version, or proceed to register it. Its user interface is totally self-explanatory, making it very easy to understand the way the program works. Besides, the program installs locally a user manual in HTML format. It opens a panel on the top-left area where you can add one or more of your original photos or graphic files for enlargement, allowing you to process several source files at once. They are listed alongside with a thumbnail, and you can remove a specific file or all of them easily. You can also select the enlargement factor - from 2x to 16x - and define the output directory where your enlarged files will be stored. On the right side there is a big panel where you can have a preview of the resulting image. First, you can see your image magnified using a standard enlargement algorithm, but once the process has finished, the real magnification result is shown, so that you can immediately tell the difference. Finally, there are a couple of progress controls that allow you to see the advance of the conversion process, as much for the current file as for the total process. Even though this program offers you a very simple and specific functionality - maybe too specific - it allows you to make use of it indefinitely (as long as you do not mind about the watermarks), and in case you are really interested in buying it, the price is affordable for most people.
